Cool Neighbourhoods Making a Difference
The “Projects Making a Difference” session will showcase selected Interreg NWE initiatives delivering tangible climate, social, and economic results. Representing Cool Neighbourhoods will be:
They will highlight the following:
- Nature-based solutions tested in nine pilot areas
- Tools such as the Neighbourhood Heat Stress Action Plan, Liveability Index, and citizen science models
- How local authorities are transforming historic, deprived, and green neighbourhoods into cooler, greener, and more liveable spaces
This is a valuable opportunity to share insights from the field and inspire broader application across the NWE region.
Looking Ahead: Capitalisation and New Horizons
The Annual Event also marks the launch of Interreg NWE’s first call for capitalisation — a chance to scale up existing project outcomes, strengthen regional alliances, and bring proven solutions to new contexts.
Cool Neighbourhoods, with its strong replication focus and transnational collaboration model, is well aligned with these goals — and eager to contribute to the future of regional climate resilience.
