Congratulations to PRO-SUD on the FNR Award for Outstanding Promotion of Science to the Public!

We are thrilled to announce that the MiNELL project, led by PRO-SUD, has been awarded the prestigious FNR Award for its outstanding contribution to environmental research, sustainable development, and citizen science in the Minett region. This recognition highlights the innovative work being done to promote environmental education and engagement with the public, making a real difference in urban sustainability.

The MiNELL project’s success aligns perfectly with the goals of the Cool Neighbourhoods project, supported by Interreg North-West Europe (NWE). Through PRO-SUD’s leadership, and the integration of MiNELL’s valuable insights, the City of Differdange is taking a significant step toward urban greening. One of the key initiatives will see the installation of a green wall on a primary school building, enhancing the resilience of the entire neighbourhood while contributing to the broader objectives of climate adaptation and sustainable urban development.

We’re excited to incorporate the lessons learned from MiNELL into the Cool Neighbourhoods initiative, using this collaboration to engage local residents and students through workshops and events. These activities will not only raise awareness of the impacts of climate change in urban areas but also foster active participation in creating greener, more resilient spaces.

A huge congratulations to the entire PRO-SUD team for this inspiring achievement. We look forward to continuing to work together to promote environmental education and sustainability across our region.
